Dear Member,

 

Pursuant to your request, enclosed is an Ethics Complaint Form for lodging a complaint against a REALTOR^®.  I have also included a copy of the 2004 REALTORS^® Code of Ethics.  If you choose to file a complaint, complete the form, indicating which Article(s) you feel the agent violated.  Please include a written summary of the situation and any supporting documentation. We ask that you include ten (10) sets of your materials for use by the Minnesota Association of REALTORS^® Grievance and Professional Standards Committees. The complaint must be filed within one hundred eighty (180) days of the transaction or when the facts constituting the matter in the complaint could have been known.

 

 

You can send the copies directly to the Minnesota Association of REALTORS^® that processes all complaints, at Minnesota Association of REALTORS®, 5750 Lincoln Drive, Edina MN 55436, attention: Cheri Libby. The MAR Grievance Committee will then review the complaint to determine if further investigation is necessary.

 

If it is determined that further investigation is warranted, a hearing will be scheduled before a Hearing Panel of the MAR Professional Standards Committee. The REALTOR^® will then be required to file a written response to the complaint and you will receive a copy of the reply. You will be asked to appear at the hearing to state your case.
